A New York Times article looks at the issue of U.S. high-tech companies hiring foreign in lieu of aging U.S. engineers and finds controversy but no solid conclusion, except possibly that the U.S. educational system is not churning out enough engineers and technicians to fill the positions that are open in U.S. companies. Whether the companies need younger foreign workers or just prefer them is a matter of debate.
