Resistance To The Anti-Disparagement Termination Deal

Many settlement agreements with fired employees contain clauses meant to prevent ex-workers from disparaging their former companies or bosses. But there’s no legal consensus as to what “disparagement” means, and some states have laws saying the agreement is only violated when a former employee lies.
