NY Port Authority Cop Claims Disability, Then Tours With His Band

A former New York Port Authority cop won’t spend time in jail for going on disability, and using his time off to go on tour with his punk band. Christopher Inserra claimed an arm injury suffered while working at the World Trade Center site in 2010 made him unable to work. But while he collected disability checks, he spent 20 months touring across the northeast with Cousin Sleaze, his band, and posting videos of the performances on YouTube. He pleaded guilty to fraud and apologized.
