Napping Pods A Big Hit At BigLaw

The Washington D.C. office of White & Case recently installed two “energy pods” for its attorneys – lounge chairs with a domed privacy visor that let sleepy workers take 20-minute naps. White & Case partner Francis Vasquez Jr. said the pods have been well-received, though many workers are reluctant to admit using them. Conservative industries and institutions, like law firms, have not been a significant vertical market, according to MetroNaps CEO Christopher Lindholst. But Vasquez says he has used them, and awakened refreshed.
