Free Rein For Employees In Social Media?

There are many things companies cannot do when it comes to restricting what employees say about the company and its business over social media, according to a recent memorandum from the NLRB Office of the General Counsel. Even restrictions on passing “confidential” information may not pass muster. The memo says that the company’s social media policy is properly a subject of union negotiations.
