DOMA Decision Will Impact Employee And Immigration Benefits

The Supreme Court last month struck down a section of the federal Defense of Marriage Act that said someone could be considered a spouse for purposes of federal law only if the relationship was between persons of the opposite sex. This decision will have a major impact on both employee benefits and immigration benefits.
