Boeing Latest To Settle 401-K Suit With "Lone Ranger"

A consumer rights lawyer has extracted a “provisional settlement” with Boeing over allegations that the company, by offering workers overpriced retirement plans, failed to act in their best interest. Boeing is the latest company to settle with St. Louis plaintiff attorney Jerry Schlichter, who has been nicknamed “the 401 (k) Lone Ranger.” Schlichter has targeted Lockheed Martin, Ameriprise Financial and a number of other companies, garnering settlements totaling about $200 million.
