“Black Companies” In Japan

The phenomenon known as the “burakku kigyo” or “black company” has become an issue in Japan. There has been widespread media attention, and the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has announced a series of measures, up to and including prosecutions. It’s about labor exploitation, primarily of young people, but by and large the problem is not in the factories.
