Appeals Court Asked To Stay Net Neutrality Rule

Cable and telecom trade associations, and some companies, are asking the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals to halt the FCC’s planned net neutrality rule, set to go into effect June 12, until lawsuits challenging the rule can be decided. The National Cable and Telecommunications Association, AT&T, the American Cable Association, CenturyLink and others asked that the plans to reclassify the Internet as a Title II telecommunications service be stopped. They noted that they have no objections to the specific provision that would keep broadband providers from blocking, slowing, or selling priority delivery of content to consumers.
