Do Americans Want To Work For Women?

A Gallup survey covering decades shows that more than 40 percent of American workers have no preference as to whether their boss is male or female. The percentage of people who would prefer to work for a man – 35 percent – still outnumbers the 23 percent who would prefer a female supervisor, and those who currently work for men are twice as likely to prefer male bosses. Another, and somewhat unexpected statistic,shows that young workers aged 18 to 34 are more likely to want a male boss. Joan C.
