Amazon Workers In Germany Strike For Higher Pay

More than 1,100 Amazon employees in Germany, the internet giant’s second-largest market, went on strike this week over pay and workplace conditions. Amazon currently is employing a total of about 23,000 workers in Germany, a figure that includes 14,000 seasonal workers. “Amazon must realize it cannot export its anti-union labor model to European shores,” Phillip Jennings of UNI, a global trade union, said.
