WA State Bar President Resigns, Is Charged With Criminal Theft

Spokane attorney Robin Haynes resigned as president of the Washington State Bar Association on Sunday, and the next day a search warrant was filed in connection with possible second-degree theft charges against her. Haynes’ former law firm, McNeice Wheeler, complained to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, which led to the warrant. Haynes worked at McNeice Wheeler until Jan. 31, shortly after becoming the youngest lawyer ever to hold the position of president of the bar association. This year she began her own law firm, GIANTLegal. Bradford Furlong is now serving as president-elect through September.
