OSHA Addresses an Ancient and Often Ignored Malady

It has nothing to do with ladders, fumes or chemicals, causes thousands of illness cases a year, and in 2012 killed more than 30 U.S. workers. Although OSHA has no prevention standard, it does address the issue by way of the OSHA statute’s General Duty Clause. Among the states, California and Washington address it directly while others have their own general duty clause. The condition is preventable, and the author explains how.
