Intel Puts Money Into Diversity Push

Employees at Intel stand to gain up to $4,000 for suggesting job candidates who are female, minorities, or veterans. The effort is part of the company’s pledge to spent $300 million over the next five years to achieve full representation of women and under-represented minorities in its U.S. workforce. “Intel is committed to increase the diversity of our workforce,” the company wrote in a statement. “We are currently offering our employees an additional incentive to help us attract diverse qualified candidates in a competitive environment for talent.” Other tech giants like Facebook and Google have made similar diversification pledges, but Intel’s bonus structure is, so far, unique.
