Company Email Curfews To Ward Off Overtime Lawsuits

To stave off the rising number of overtime lawsuits, some employers are considering placing a curfew on after-hours company emails. The Fair Labor Standards Act requires that hourly employees be paid for work their boss either knew or should have known they were doing, so employers instituting an overtime email ban could be protected from suits.
