Who At Your Company Understands Legal Risk?

The U.K. law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner surveyed about a hundred general counsel, in-house counsel, risk and compliance officers, CEOs and directors world-wide, regarding their understanding of corporate risk. The study, the Legal Risk Benchmarking Survey, found general agreement on what the most significant risks were, but that those risks were not well understood outside the legal department and that there was a need for general counsel to make clear how risk materially affects the organization.
