Google Glass Raises New Version Of Some Old Questions

Movie theaters, casinos, lawmakers and lawyers all have their hands full anticipating new and complex issues sure to arise if Google’s wearable computer, Glass, becomes mainstream. While some bars, restaurants and gambling centers have already banned Glass – which covers one eye and can take pictures, video, and surf the web, all visible only to the wearer – employers will likely need to develop policies for when workers or visitors can use wearable technology to protect privacy and, potentially, trade secrets. Yet, some of the issues that arise bear an uncanny resemblance to those that came with the first Kodak cameras, which often were banned at beaches.
