The slogan “the customer is always right” was popularized by London department store pioneer Harry Selfridge. Does it apply to legal services, and if so what would that look like? Mark Cohen, in his Legal Mosaic blog, answers yes to the first question and provides some interesting observations about the second. Look to the UK and its Legal Services Act of 2007 for some ideas, he says. The Legal Services Act was written in response to a government report that set out to reform the legal regulatory framework specifically in order to “put the consumer first.”
