Wells Fargo To Pay $290K To Settle Same-Sex Harassment Suit

Four female bank tellers in a Reno, Nev. Wells Fargo will receive $290,000 from the bank to settle a same-sex sexual harassment lawsuit filed by the EEOC. A female manager and another female bank teller subjected the women to repeated graphic sexual comments, gesture, and images, , and though the behavior was reported to management, Wells Fargo did not act quickly to stop it, according to the suit. The settlement also mandates that Wells Fargo banks in the Sierra Mountains District take preventative steps, including anti-discrimination training.
