Wells Fargo Is Least-Respected Company

In the wake of its fake accounts scandal, Wells Fargo has plunged to dead last on Barron’s annual list of the “Most Respected American Companies.” Last year Wells Fargo was ranked 60 on the list, and this year it came in at 100, the lowest position possible. Earlier this year, the bank acknowledged that its employees opened up to 2 million accounts for customers without their knowledge or consent, in an effort to meet unrealistic sales goals.
