“Wave Of Regulations” For 2016

A list of some major rules from the SEC, the Food and Drug Administration and the Department of Labor, expected to be finalized during the President’s last year in office, as compiled by the The Hill. They include SEC “pay for performance,” requiring publicly traded companies to disclose the compensation of high-level executives in relation to the companies’ financial performance; rules establishing silica dust standards at construction sites; rules that will enlarge the pool of workers eligible for overtime pay; and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) rules that will protect consumer rights to enter into class-action lawsuits against a financial company.
