Venture Capitalist Proposes Splitting California Six Ways

Renown California venture capitalist Tim Drapert recently stepped back from his investment firm DJF and announced that his next project will take the form of a ballot initiative to California’s attorney general. It’s a proposal to split the golden state into six separate states. The aim would be to gain more appropriate representation in the Senate for California’s massive population, and to allow each new state – which splits the state’s tech and agricultural areas – to create regulations that better reflect the needs of its economy and residents.
