Update on State Insurance Dept Actions Related To The Pandemic

A law firm that specializes in handling state insurance regulation is compiles a survey of pandemic-related actions by state insurance departments nationwide. The firm says it will be updating the survey twice a week and making it available on its website. The survey, according to a PR release, “aims to help companies stay abreast of the latest state actions as insurance regulators continue to respond to a wide variety of COVID-19 related issues, including (1) the treatment of “insurance” as an “essential business” in light of “Stay at Home” orders; (2) encouraging continued flexibility when dealing with insureds; and (3) extension or waiver of filing requirements for various insurance company filings.”
