With a huge number of new domain names expected to appear within the next few months, protecting trademarks is going to become far more difficult. The problem is addressed by the newly established Trademark Clearinghouse, an international registry developed by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), but companies need to act quickly to take full advantage of what it provides.
