U.S. M&A Activity Remains Stagnant

An Ernst & Young report finds U.S. merger and acquisition activity in the first half of the year was stagnant and sees little prospect of change for the rest of 2013. While some sectors were active – notably healthcare, consumer products, financial services, technology, and power & utilities – we may be seeing a “fundamental reset” in the size of the M&A market, said an EY official.
