U.S. And China Will Discuss A Bilateral Investment Treaty

The United States and China have agreed to hold discussions about a treaty to enable mutual investment in large sectors of each other’s economies. The report from the New York Times notes that fears about cyber-spying are likely to complicate the negotiations, with the added twist that after the Snowden leaks China can argue the issue cuts both ways.
