Two Climate Change Lawsuits Rebuffed

On May 20th, the Supreme Court denied certiorari in  Native Village of Kivalina v. ExxonMobil Corp. In a second case, which alleged a connection between green house gas emissions and damage caused by Hurricane Katrina, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals  affirmed a dismissal. Meanwhile, a meeting between President Obama and President Xi Jinping of China resulted in a joint statement on the subject of  hydrofluorocarbons.
