Turing Pharmaceuticals AG Names Howard Dorfman As GC

Turing Pharmaceuticals AG has named experienced drug industry lawyer Howard Dorfman senior vice president and general counsel. Dorfman was formerly general counsel at Ferring Pharmaceuticals, US operations for the privately-held Swiss-based biotech/medical device company. Previously he was a member of the life sciences group at noted law firm Ropes & Gray. Earlier, Dorfman was chief legal officer of the pharmaceutical division of Bayer Healthcare, in charge of legal oversight for commercial, regulatory and compliance matters. He also previously worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb, initially as in-house litigation counsel and later as counsel to the company’s US Medicine Group.
