Trump’s NLRB Conflict

Among conflicts of interest that a Donald Trump presidency will spawn, one of the more glaring involves the National Labor Relations Board. There are about a dozen Trump-related matters pending before the NLRB, including a murky one concerning a nondisclosure contract which is said to have been posted on the Trump campaign website, but then taken down. The complaint, filed by a California labor lawyer on behalf of a workers’ rights organization, claims that the agreement is far broader than labor department rules would allow in that it prohibits disclosures about Trump’s persona, political or business life, anything that Trump “insists remain confidential” and forbids public disparagement of Trump and his extended family. Trump will have the opportunity to reshape the NLRB when he takes office.
