Trump Presidency Will See “Legal Industry On Steroids”

Legal consultant Peter Zeughauser said the Trump administration “would be the biggest thing in the legal industry since the enactment of the U.S. Constitution.” Speaking with Law360, Zeughauser said, “we’re going to see a legal industry on steroids.” Trump’s campaign promises regarding change to immigration law would mean work for immigration lawyers, as well as an increase in corporate audits for companies complying with record-keeping requirements to prove their employees are eligible to work here. International trade lawyers would have a “field day,” Zeughauser said, if Trump delivers on his promise to renegotiate trade deals and impose protectionist measures. Changes to health care, and any move to promote infrastructure work would also open myriad legal avenues.
