Thief Who Stole OJ’s Heisman Plaque Arrested

A man has been arrested for allegedly stealing the replica Heisman Trophy, jersey, and plaque honoring OJ Simpson from the University of Southern California more than 20 years ago. The items were stolen in 1994, as Simpson awaited trial in the murder of his ex-wife, and recovered in December after Lewis Eugene Starks, Jr., tried to sell them. The trophy and the plaque have been recovered, but the jersey is still missing. If convicted, Starks could serve up to six years in a California prison. Luckily for him he won’t encounter Simpson, who is in a Nevada prison for an armed heist in a Las Vegas casino hotel room.
