The California AG’s Consumer Privacy Battle

The California attorney general’s lawsuit over an airline’s failure to include a privacy policy on a mobile app was dismissed, but the AG’s efforts to strengthen consumer privacy protections continue, in a state where it remains a potent issue. Currently on the table is legislation that would widen the definition of what constitutes a security breach serious enough to require customer notification.
