Surviving An Environmental Inspection

Practical advice for any company that is a possible candidate for an environmental regulatory inspection. That would include any company holding a permit from any federal, state or local environmental agency, whether it governs governs air emissions, waste water, storm water, solid waste,  hazardous waste, or something else, notes Stinson Leonard Street attorney Lisa Funderburg. Among her suggestions: Do a dry-run mock inspection, designate a health and safety employee who can take the lead during an inspection, and “make the parade route the shortest distance possible from the area where the opening conference took place to the area the inspector has requested to see.”
