Strong Reactions To OSHA’s New Reporting Rule

OSHA’s recently released final rule on “Tracking of Workplace Injuries and Illnesses,” commonly referred to as electronic recordkeeping, has garnered strong reactions. Environmental health and safety magazine EHS Today collected some of them from a variety of groups and individuals, from the American Society of Safety Engineers to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the AFL-CIO. Responses run the gamut from “an important step towards transparency” to “poorly conceived, unworkable, and unauthorized.”
