S&P Ratings Under Fire Again

An analysis commissioned by The New York Times finds that S&P is giving higher ratings than other agencies to some mortgage-backed securities. At the same time, it is getting more business from the banks that pay for the ratings. The company is being sued for similar behavior in the period leading up to the financial crisis.
