Silk Road Kingpin Found Guilty

The man accused of running the website Silk Road, a virtual black market that enabled sales of drugs and other illegal goods, has been found guilty of all seven counts related to the site. Jurors took less than four hours to deliver the verdict, finding Ross W. Ulbricht guilty of, among the other charges, distributing narcotics online and engaging in a continuing criminal enterprise, which could carry a life sentence. Between January 2011 and October 2013, Silk Road generated more than $213 million in revenue, and Ulbrich was alleged to have made millions in commissions.
