Sessions Cracking Down On Marijuana

Thanks to an obscure provision in a budget bill passed at the end of the Obama administration, the DOJ doesn’t have the budget to go after any marijuana sellers or users who are operating legally under a state law, so they are de facto home free. Now, Attorney General Jeff Sessions is pushing hard to get that provision – the so-called Rohrabacher-Farr amendment – overturned by Congress. One of the authors of the amendment – long-time California Congressman and outspoken Trump supporter Dana Rohrabacher – says that President Trump would be sympathetic to keeping the provision intact, if only someone could get his attention on the subject. He has a complicated and strange reason why it can’t be him.
