Senator Wants Review Of Consumer Bureau’s Data Collection

GOP Senator Mike Crapo has asked the Government Accountability Office to look into the data collection practices of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, that agency that was created under the Dodd-Frank Act. The president and CEO of the Center for Capital Markets Competitiveness of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has also expressed concern about the legality and privacy of the CFPB’s data practices.
