Scalia: The Musical

Three new stage productions are using opera, Shakespearean actors and puppets to portray 78-year-old Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. Playwright John Strand wrote the play, “The Originalist,” about Scalia, set to open on Washington’s Arena Stage in March. An original comic opera, “Scalia/Ginsburg,” was written by a former student at the University of Maryland School of Law. And The Reduced Shakespeare Company portrays Scalia as a muppet and asks, in song, “How do you solve a problem like Scalia?”
