Judge Awards $1M To Fan Injured By Stage-Diving Rock Star

In a settlement that may make rock bands fond of flinging themselves off-stage think twice – then again, who are we kidding? – a federal judge awarded a fan more than $1.37 million for medical problems related to a skull fracture she suffered when Angelo Moore, lead singer for the band Fishbone, stage dived into the crowd and knocked her to the floor. Judge Jan DuBois assessed the damages after reviewing the fan’s medical bills and estimating continuing medical costs, then levying punitive damages against Moore for refusing to confirm or deny if he was on drugs at the time of the incident, and for exhibiting “little remorse.”
