Public Law School Facing Accreditation Challenge

The University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law was founded in 2014 with the goal of enrolling students who do not have the money or academic credentials to earn a degree elsewhere, but recently the American Bar Association recommended against granting the school accreditation. The ABA committee said it lacked confidence that the school is enrolling students who will be able to pass the bar exam, and that the school itself has a shaky financial plan. School leaders plan to go before the council of the bar association in October to make their case for accreditation.
