Pa. AG Fights To Keep Law License

Kathleen Kane, Pennsylvania’s attorney general, is fighting against the suspension of her law license in a bid to keep her job. Kane’s law license was indefinitely suspended in September amid perjury charges that she orchestrated, then lied under oath about, a grand jury leak. A disciplinary board has until Jan. 20 to respond to Kane’s petition for reinstatement. Kane’s appeal comes after three newly elected judges were appointed to the state’s Supreme Court, bringing the court back to its full complement of seven justices and leaning democratic.
