Oracle Suing Ex-Employee Who Sued Oracle

Oracle intends to sue a former senior finance manager, who herself sued the company for retaliation. The former employee says Oracle fired her after she blew the whistle on an alleged scheme to make the cloud services category appear better financially than it actually was. Fortune writer Barb Darrow says this has become common practice in technology companies. Skeptics call it “cloud washing” – making the company look good by characterizing certain products as falling into the hot area of cloud computing instead of the stodgy and shrinking legacy market. Oracle refutes the charges and says the employee was fired for poor performance.
