Obama, Tech Leaders Discuss Rebuilding Public Trust

Government surveillance and the resultant waning of public trust was the main issue discussed by President Obama, Vice President Biden, and 15 top tech executives from Apple, Google, Facebook, Yahoo and others. Though the meeting was called to open dialogue on the government health care website, one person from the tech industry briefed on the matter told the New York Times, “From our perspective this was all about the N.S.A.” The parties conferred for about two hours, more than twice as long as planned.
