Obama Nominates Yellen To Chair The Fed

President Barack Obama has nominated Janet Yellen to lead the Federal Reserve, a move strongly supported by those who believe she will continue the steps current chair Ben Bernanke has implemented to stimulate the U.S. economy. If approved by the Senate, Yellen would be the first woman to head the institution.
