NY Fed Examiner Claims Criticism Of Goldman Cost Her Job

A former New York Fed senior examiner has filed a wrongful termination lawsuit claiming she was fired after refusing to favorably alter her findings against Goldman Sachs. When she reviewed Goldman in 2012, Carmen Segarra found that the firm’s policies to prevent conflicts of interest fell short of requirements. But Segarra claims the senior New York Fed official overseeing Goldman pressured her to change her findings and, when she refused, had her escorted from the building.
