Number Of LSAT Test Takers Hits 14-Year Low

The paltry 21,802 people who took the LSAT exam in June is the lowest total for that month in 14 years, and is down 9.1 percent from the total recorded in June 2013, according to the Law School Admission Council. The dismal June numbers erased the ray of hope that law schools saw after a 1.1 percent increase in test takers was recorded in February. The dip in law school interest likely reflects the sputtering job market for new law grads and the expense and subsequent debt that comes with the degree.
