NFL Player Secures “Revis Island” Trademark

Four-time Pro Bowler Darrelle Revis finally gained the rights to the term “Revis Island,” used to describe the NFL defensive player’s uncanny knack for shutting down opposing team wide receivers. Revis first applied for the trademark in January 2010 when he was a New York Jet, and after filing for extension four times Revis was finally victorious in September – though the same can’t be said for his currently winless team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
