New Chairman and Managing Partner For McGuireWoods

McGuireWoods has named Jon Harmon, a leading national trial lawyer, chairman of the firm. Jon was recommended by, and succeeds, Richard Cullen. J. Tracy Walker IV, also a leading national trial lawyer, follows Thomas Cabaniss as McGuireWoods’ managing partner. After leading McGuireWoods through 11 years of unprecedented growth during the very tough period following the Great Recession, Richard and Tom have handed over the reins to a new generation of leaders. The transition aligns with a leadership change at the firm’s highly accomplished public affairs subsidiary, McGuireWoods Consulting, making this a particularly important time at the firm. Jon Harmon, who previously led McGuireWoods’ Business & Securities Litigation Department, represents Fortune 500 companies in complex, high-exposure litigation in some of the most difficult venues in the country. He is known for parachuting into litigation hot zones to “rescue” clients in high-risk disputes.
