Nevada Lawyer Owes $12K In Sanctions, May Face Jail Time

A lawyer who was assessed $12,000 in sanctions for filing improper court documents has until August 28 to pay up, or he might be thrown in jail for civil contempt. Nevada attorney Robert Pool represented Las Vegas Township Constable John Bonaventura in dispute with offices in two other municipalities whose deputies have been working in his jurisdiction.. Nearly $10,000 of the outstanding fine is to cover legal fees for Bonaventura’s opponents in the case.
